As the farewell song begins and summer arrives, Quanzhou Medical College held the  graduation ceremony 2024 on the afternoon of June 21 at the track field ground of the Luojiang Campus. The event was attended by Li Boqun, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chen Wannian, President and Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Su Cheng’an, Vice President, Yang Xiumin, Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission, Chen Xianyi, Vice President, Lin Jingcang, Vice President, and the deans ofall schools.

The ceremony commenced with the solemn national anthem. Chen Wannian, the President and Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, delivered a keynote speech on behalf of the facultyand students, extending warm congratulations and heartfelt wishes to all the graduates. She encouraged the students to:

Remain committed to their aspirations and serve the country wholeheartedly. She urged them to integrate their personal goals into the greater vision of the nation and its people, aligning their efforts with the country’s progress. She encouraged them to contribute to the advancement of healthcare and the well-being of humanity, allowing their lives to bloom brightly in this noble endeavor:

Embrace their responsibilities and embark on new journeys with vigor. Graduates were encouraged to seize opportunities in the age of artificial intelligence, be lifelong learners, innovators, and builders, and boldly shoulder the mission of national rejuvenation. She urged them to dedicate themselves to the cause of public health, leaving their mark on this era;

Pursue both moral integrity and professional excellence. Graduates were reminded to cultivate virtues, uphold self-discipline, enhance their skills, and practice medicine with compassion and integrity. She expressed hope that they would become empathetic, dedicated, and humane medical professionals.

Qiu Xinxin, a graduate representative from Class 3 of Medical Laboratory Technology (enrolled in 2021), reflected on the three years of hard work, expressing gratitude toward the college, teachers, classmates, and family. She urged her peers to embody the spirit of “Sincerity and Dedication” in their actions, letting their youth shine brightly through perseverance and striving for excellence in their careers and lives.

During the ceremony, Lin Jingcang, Vice President, announced the awards for outstanding graduates and interns. Leaders presented certificates of merit and graduation diplomas to the recipients.

As the class of 2024 embarks on a new journey, the college sincerely hopes that graduates will carry forward the spirit of the school motto, "Sincerity and Dedication." They are encouraged to transform the president’s expectations and teachers’ guidance into a driving force for continuous progress.
