On June 27, 2024, Quanzhou Medical College held a mobilization meeting to promote summer key work at the Huishi Sports & Culture Center. All teaching and administrative staff attended the meeting, which was presided over by Vice President Chen Xianyi.
The conference began with the screening of a college promotional video titled "90 Years of Educational History." Zhang Yushan, Director of the Academic Affairs Office, introduced the college's recent teaching achievements, discipline and professional development plans, preparations for teaching activities at the Nan'an campus, and the summer plans for increasing teaching capabilities of the faculty. Liao Zhibin, Director of the Development Planning Office, reported on the college's development goals, key tasks for overcoming challenges, implementation pathways, and subsequent construction plans, on the basis of on the college's development goals, aligned with relevant standards and procedures.
Seven representatives, including Chen Xudong, Dong Xuefeng, Huang Youxia, Tu Zhuote, Chen Jiao'e, Wang Shian, and Huang Baoshan, signed the "Construction Task Agreement" with the college on behalf of all faculty and administrative staff. In their speeches, they pledged to align closely with the college, demonstrating unwavering commitment and enthusiasm. They vowed to take responsibility, act decisively, and work tirelessly under the strong leadership of the college’s Party Committee to complete all assigned tasks with high standards and quality, contributing to the college's leap development.
President Chen Wannian, emphasized that while the college has achieved remarkable progress through the collective hard work of its faculty and administrative staff, there is a need to pursue even higher standards to advance its development. She stressed three key points:
1. Address shortcomings with high standards and strict requirements, accelerating progress in building the teaching faculty, affiliated hospitals, and the Nan'an campus.
2. Plan for the college's future development systematically, advancing key initiatives in an integrated manner and preparing comprehensively for leap development.
3. Unite efforts and forge ahead with determination. The college must seize the opportunities of the times, proactively embrace challenges, and promote high-quality development with unwavering confidence, sense of urgency, and resilience.
Li Boqun, Secretary of the Party Committee of the college, highlighted that this mobilization meeting marked a rallying call and clarion signal for action. He urged all faculty and administrative staff to tackle challenges with confidence, remain focused on goals, and mobilize collective efforts to ensure the effective implementation of tasks, ultimately delivering a "satisfactory" report card. This would set the stage for celebrating the college's 90th anniversary and the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China.
He underscored three key directives:
1. Leverage high-quality Party building to drive the high-quality development of the college, strengthen grassroots Party work, foster a positive cultural and educational atmosphere, and create a sound environment of "clean school spirit, upright teaching ethos, and vibrant academic style" to support key initiatives.
2. Raise awareness and build confidence in the college's 90-year educational legacy, encouraging responsibility, proactive actions, and resilience in shouldering the historical responsibilities and missions of the era.
3. Mobilize for action and intensify efforts to overcome challenges. This involves clarifying task divisions, addressing shortcomings, solidifying objectives, and focusing on critical tasks to ensure leap development.
