To implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, enhance the cybersecurity awareness and protection skills of faculty and students, and foster a healthy and secure campus network environment, Quanzhou Medical College organized Cybersecurity Awareness Week at its Luojiang campus. The event, themed "Cybersecurity for the People, Cybersecurity by the People," was spearheaded by the college's Information Center and officially launched on September 9, 2024. It garnered enthusiastic participation and widespread engagement from both faculty and students.

During the event, the college made full use of both online and offline resources to carry out a series of impactful promotional and educational activities. Faculty and students accessed cybersecurity education courses through the China College Student Online platform and major social media channels. These courses covered practical topics such as preventing telecom fraud, protecting personal information, fostering proper online ethics, and regulating online behavior. Faculty and students also actively engaged in the "First Anti-Fraud Class for the New Semester," organized by the Ministry of Public Security’s Criminal Investigation Bureau and the National Anti-Fraud Center. Anti-fraud officers delivered vivid explanations of fraud prevention through real-life case studies, providing invaluable insights to participants. In addition, the college organized the "Protecting Youth Online, With You" national cybersecurity knowledge quiz competition, enabling students to learn cybersecurity concepts in a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere while enhancing their self-protection skills.

To further strengthen cybersecurity awareness on campus, banners and posters were prominently displayed, and cybersecurity-themed PowerPoint presentations were shown on outdoor LED screens. On September 10, during the Cybersecurity Awareness Week Campus Day, promotional panels and stands were set up near the cafeteria, where brochures, bookmarks, and informational materials were distributed. These initiatives garnered significant attention and participation from faculty and students. Many attendees remarked that the activities deepened their understanding of the importance of cybersecurity and equipped them with practical skills to safeguard their online safety.

The successful organization of this Cybersecurity Awareness Week not only enhanced the cybersecurity awareness and protective skills of faculty and students but also laid a solid foundation for building a clear, safe, and secure campus network environment. Looking ahead, the college will continue to strengthen its efforts in cybersecurity education and awareness, contributing to the development of medical professionals with a strong sense of cybersecurity literacy.
