On October 6, 2024, Quanzhou Medical College’s Nan’an Campus warmly welcome over 1,700 freshmen from our province. After more than a year of intensive construction, this brand-new, fully functional campus finally greeted first group of vibrant young faces.

In the days leading up to the arrival of the new students, the college’s leadership team, along with all mid-level administrators, transformed into “pioneer testers”，personally experiencing the soon-to-be-inaugurated campus. Through trial meals, overnight stays, and other activities, they identified and addressed shortcomings, ensuring meticulous and comprehensive preparations for the orientation.

Early this morning, college leaders, faculty, staff, and volunteers were already in position, eagerly awaiting each new student. The leadership team visited key areas such as the centralized registration points, dormitories, and cafeteria to inspect the enrollment process, engaging in friendly conversations with the freshmen and expressing gratitude to the faculty and volunteers involved in the orientation efforts.

Nan’an City leaders, including Zhang Guisen, Fu Wenxing, Qiu Xueliang, and Hou Qianghui, as well as Hou Changcai, Chairman of Xiamen Yuanchang Group, also visited the campus to offer guidance and witness this historic moment.

At the orientation site, neatly arranged displays, banners, and signposts provided clear directions for the newcomers. Volunteers enthusiastically offered assistance with inquiries, guidance, and luggage, showcasing the college’s warmth and care.

The campus also featured thoughtfully designed service stations, offering information on financial aid policies, green, and a dedicated club zone. Various student associations showcased their unique charm and the vibrant campus life through colorful activity photos and creatively crafted works.

Additionally, the Nan’an Campus organized a series of engaging welcome activities for the freshmen, with each school highlighting its distinctive features.

Thanks to the seamless collaboration among all college departments and schools, a “reassuring, reliable, and heartwarming”orientation process unfolded across the new campus. By 6:00 pm, 1,653 freshmen had completed registration, achieving an enrollment rate of 97.24%. The arrival of these new students has infused Quanzhou Medical College’s Nan’an Campus with vitality and energy.

We are confident that on this land brimming with hope and dreams, the future will witness the growth of outstanding medical professionals, injecting new momentum into the development of local healthcare and continuing the glorious legacy of Quanzhou Medical College.
