Scientific researches are the core driving force for the development of colleges and universities. The college promotes the theme of high-quality development of scientific research and solidly carries out the action of scientific research breakthrough year. At the same time, we will take measures to build an overpass for talent introduction, implement the working mechanism of "attracting talents by talents, gathering talents by talents, and cultivating talents by talents" and the gathering mode of "talents+teams", and increase investment in high-level talent work.

On the afternoon of October 16th, 2024, Quanzhou Medical College successfully held the kick-off meeting of high-level talents' scientific research start-up foundation and the lecture on scientific research promotion training. The college science and technology center, personnel department, project leaders of research start-up  foundation and young and middle-aged key teachers attended the meeting, which was presided over by Professor Xu Rong, deputy director of the science and technology center.

14 high-level talent research start-up foundation of 2024 were established, with a total funding of 3.98 million yuan, of which 1.49 million yuan was allocated in the first phase. The meeting first held the kick-off meeting of the 2024 high-level talent research start-up foundation, and the project leaders took the stage to sign the project contracts respectively.

The research start-up foundation is the "first bucket of start-up funds" to provide scientific research for young researchers, and they are an important measure for the college to train young researchers and promote scientific research innovation. Professor XU Rong encourages young researchers to be brave in exploring unknown fields and challenging the frontiers of scientific research, and strive to achieve high-level scientific research results with a solid work attitude and innovative scientific research spirit. At the same time, the Science and Technology Center will fully support the development of young researchers and provide them with a good research environment and conditions.

At the same time, the meeting specially invited Dr. YUXueping, professor of medicine of Quanzhou First Hospital, to give a lecture on scientific research promotion training. Based on his own scientific research experience, Director YUintroduced the practical experience of applying for National Natural Science Foundation of China, and taught the strategies and skills of writing and applying for project proposals , encouraging young and middle-aged teachers to explore and innovate.
