To carry out the instruction on mental health education given by the superior department and strengthen the student management at the Nan'an Campus, the college held a special meeting for the promotion of mental health education in 2024 in the conference room on the 19th floor of Changcai Building at the Nan'an Campus on the afternoon of October 28. Li Boqun, Secretary of the College Party Committee, Wang Cuiling, Deputy Secretary of the College Party Committee, relevant student affairs staff, leaders of schools, and all the counselors attended the meeting chaired by Chen Yiling, Director of the Student Affairs Office.
At the meeting, the Student Affairs Office, the Clinical Medicine School, and the Stomatology School gave reports on their mental health work from the aspects, such as work effectiveness, case analysis, and improvement paths. Wang Cuiling elaborated on the connotation and construction path of the "four-network collaboration" mental health education system, and gave instructions on the future work. Li Boqun emphasized the work focus: knowing the significance and complexity of school mental health education, building a comprehensive mental health education system and establishing the concept of "prioritizing health, nurturing both mind and virtue, and calling for everyone’s participation", achieving the expected goal.
After the meeting, Li Boqun led a team to inspect classrooms, the library, and other places at the Nan’an campus. He paid close attention to the construction and the safety of the campus, and offered suggestions. In the evening, Wang Cuiling visited the dormitories and talked with students, learning about their comments on the dormitory environment, their academic studies and daily life. Moreover, Wang suggested that students make their own study plans and enhance their awareness of dormitory hygiene, creating a safe and harmonious learning and living environment.
The promotion of mental health education, as well as the campus safety inspection and the dormitory visit conducted by the leaders, not only shows school's commitment to fulfilling its task of cultivating students' moral character and fostering their all-round development, but also shows the leaders’ concern for students’ growth. The Student Affairs Department will continue to carry out the mental health education and enhance the management of students' behavior, creating a warm and caring campus.
