To deepen the understanding of the thought of socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era and to fully implement the spirit of the 3rd Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the CPC, the National Education Conference, and the Fujian Provincial Education Conference, Li Boqun, Secretary of the Party Committee of our college, along with Lin Jingcang, Vice President of our college, led a delegation to Quanzhou Orthopaedic-Traumatological Hospital on the afternoon of December 26. The delegation included directors from the Academic Affairs Office, the Admission and Employment Office, the School of Clinical Medicine, the School of Nursing, and the School of Pharmacy. Following the directives from the 2025 National General College Graduates Employment and Entrepreneurship Work Conference and the 2025 Fujian Provincial General College Graduates Employment and Entrepreneurship Work Conference, their visit aimed to foster deeper integration between the education and healthcare industries and to expand employment opportunities for graduates. Chen Changxian, President of Quanzhou Orthopedic Hospital, Wu Ping, hospital Vice President, and relevant department directors attended the visit and a subsequent seminar.
Before the meeting, under the guidance of President Chen Changxian, Secretary Li and his entourage visited the hospital's orthopedic and traumatology outpatient clinic, pharmacy, emergency department and orthopaedic culture center, and learned about the hospital's diagnosis and treatment environment, intelligent construction, cultural construction, talent training and other aspects.
During the seminar, President Chen extended a warm welcome to the delegation led by Secretary Li Boqun. Cai Jianfeng, Director of the Department of Pharmacy, introduced the hospital’s basic condition, teaching, management, and students’ internship and employment in the hospital. The two parties had an in-depth communication on collaboration in talent development, students’ employment, etc.
Secretary Li Boqun expressed his gratitude to the hospital for providing internship opportunities to our students. He hoped that through communication, the two parties could strengthen their cooperation in areas such as medical education, scientific research, practical training, and employment, working together to advance the integration and development of medical education and healthcare.
Secretary Li also met with internship students from the School of Clinical Medicine and the School of Pharmacy. After listening to their learning experiences attentively, he encouraged them to make the most of their internships, continuously enhance their skills, and build a solid foundation for their future careers.
The "Visit Enterprises and Expand Employment" activity not only successfully increased job opportunities for students, but also highlighted the direction for further collaboration between the college and the hospital. Both parties will continue working together to cultivate talents and contribute to the healthcare industry in Quanzhou.
