On the afternoon of March 20, 2025, the Discipline Inspection Commission held a meeting for discipline inspection personnel in Meeting Room 1 of the Library and Information Center; present at the meeting were all discipline inspection staff from the Discipline Inspection, Supervision, and Audit Office, as well as discipline inspection committee members from each grassroots Party organization. The meeting was presided over by Yang Xiumin, Member of the University Party Committee and Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission.

During the meeting, Zhuang Lixia, Deputy Director of the Discipline Inspection, Supervision, and Audit Office, delivered a study session on the spirit of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th Central Commission for Discipline Inspection, the Fifth Plenary Session of the 11th Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection, and the Fifth Plenary Session of the 13th Municipal Commission for Discipline Inspection; Secretary Yang Xiumin issued key task assignments for 2025.

Secretary Yang Xiumin emphasized that all full-time discipline inspection staff and discipline inspection committee members at grassroots Party organizations must deeply study the plenary directives of the Central, Provincial, and Municipal Commissions for Discipline Inspection, stay focused on key priorities, and clarify their work approach. Firstly, constant learning must be strengthened to enhance political stance. With technological iteration and renewal, discipline inspection and supervision work must keep pace with the times; discipline inspection personnel should pursue comprehensive learning, enhance their overall competence and work efficiency, leverage new technologies such as artificial intelligence, continuously improve oversight mechanisms, and enhance the effectiveness of supervision. Secondly, in-depth connection with the frontline is required to accurately determine focal points of the work. Through in-depth understanding of the practical work within the respective grassroots Party organizations or units, it is necessary to grasp the real needs of faculty, staff, and students at the frontline, identify cohesive forces for advancing development, carry out targeted efforts, and address urgent issues facing teachers and students. Thirdly, focus must be placed on “matters of national importance,” and political supervision must be carried out effectively. By arming minds with Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, firmly upholding the “Two Establishments” and resolutely achieving the “Two Upholds,” supervision responsibilities should be earnestly fulfilled, ensuring the implementation of Party Central Committee decisions within the university; supervision should cover activities such as “Three Meetings and One Lesson” (i.e., General Meeting of Party Members, Party Committee Meeting, Party Group Meeting, and Party Lecture) and “Three Majors and One Large” (i.e., significant matter decision-making, important cadre appointments and dismissals, major project investment decision-making, and large-sum fund usage), to guarantee normative and transparent exercise of power, and to promote comprehensive and strict Party governance to greater depth. Fourthly, center work should be closely integrated to cultivate standout brands. By aligning with the practical realities of the university and colleges, innovative working methods should be adopted to thoroughly integrate discipline inspection work with core university and college tasks, shaping a discipline inspection brand unique to the university, and enhancing the influence of discipline inspection initiatives. Fifthly, attention must be given to self-construction, strengthening capabilities in job performance. Taking the “Year of Standardization, Legalization, and Regularization of Discipline Inspection and Supervision” as an opportunity, the discipline inspection staff team should be strengthened, personal cultivation of discipline inspection personnel improved, a positive image for discipline inspection staff established, setting an example in loyalty, integrity, and accountability; meanwhile, work processes should be perfected, work efficiency enhanced, so that all discipline inspection tasks are implemented effectively, providing strong disciplinary guarantees for the healthy development of the university.
