On the morning of March 26, the university convened the 2025 Conference on Party Building and Comprehensive Strict Governance of the Party, thoroughly studying and implementing General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speech and the spirit of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th Central Commission for Discipline Inspection, implementing the spirit of the 2025 Provincial Education System Party Building and Comprehensive Strict Governance of the Party Video Conference and the Municipal Education System Party Building and Comprehensive Strict Governance of the Party Video Conference, reviewing and summarizing the new achievements in the university’s comprehensive strict governance of the Party over the past year, analyzing and assessing the current situation, and deploying key tasks for 2025. Li Baiqun , Secretary of the University Party Committee, attended the meeting and delivered a speech. Wang Cuiling, Deputy Secretary of the University Party Committee, presided over the meeting. Yang Xiumin, Member of the University Party Committee and Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission, summarized and deployed the university’s work on Party conduct and clean government. University leaders, heads of departments, secretaries of each general Party branch (directly affiliated Party branch), and members of the Party committee of the Affiliated People’s Hospital attended the meeting.

The meeting pointed out that over the past year, the University Party Committee has deeply understood General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important thoughts on Party building and Party self-reform, thoroughly implemented the general requirements for Party building and the organizational line of the Party in the new era, adhered to taking moral education as the fundamental task, focused on key work for upgrading to undergraduate status, concentrated on the “Six-Year Action,” and led and guaranteed new progress and new heights in all undertakings of the university through comprehensive strict governance of the Party.

The meeting required that in 2025, the university’s comprehensive strict governance of the Party must adhere to Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era as guidance, fully implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and the Second and Third Plenary Sessions of the 20th Central Committee, thoroughly study and implement the spirit of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th Central Commission for Discipline Inspection, fully implement General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important discourses on education and the spirit of the National Education Conference, take the solid development of in-depth study and implementation of the spirit of the Central Eight-Point Regulation as an opportunity, persist in managing and governing the Party with a spirit of reform and strict standards, focus on the goal of establishing an undergraduate medical university, solidly carry out all university work, accelerate the pace of the university, and strive to achieve high-quality, connotative development of the university. Firstly, political leadership must be strengthened, ideological foundations must be deepened, the “Two Upholds” must be practiced, a new high ground for moral education must be built, positive publicity and guidance must be reinforced, and the university’s influence and reputation must be continuously enhanced. Secondly, grassroots fortresses must be consolidated, organizational vitality must be stimulated, special actions to enhance the combat effectiveness of grassroots Party organizations must be implemented, and the cadre team must be optimally selected and strengthened. Thirdly, the rectification of conduct and discipline must be advanced in depth, the clean and upright atmosphere must be safeguarded, the strict tone must remain unwavering, the spirit of the Central Eight-Point Regulation must be strictly implemented, and the normalization and long-term effectiveness of work style construction must be promoted. Fourthly, primary responsibility must be firmly shouldered, synergy for tackling challenges must be gathered, the responsibility for managing and governing the Party must be detailed and tightened, the ideological security defense line must be consolidated, departmental barriers must be broken, and collaborative efforts must be made.

The meeting emphasized that all units must strengthen political leadership, earnestly ensure the communication, implementation, and fulfillment of the meeting’s spirit, systematically plan annual task arrangements, integrate the advancement of Party building and comprehensive strict governance of the Party in the new era with the development of the university’s educational undertakings, promote the construction of Party conduct and government conduct, teacher ethics and conduct, and school and study style in an integrated manner, continuously consolidate the university’s sound political environment, and contribute greater strength to the university’s all-out sprint to upgrade and establish an application-oriented undergraduate medical university.
