On March 26, Quanzhou Medical College specially convened a work deployment meeting on in-depth study and implementation of the Central Eight-Point Regulations, earnestly studying and implementing General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speeches and instructions on in-depth study and implementation of the Central Eight-Point Regulations, implementing the spirit of meetings of the Central, Provincial, and Municipal Party Building Leading Groups and the “Notice of the General Office of the CPC Central Committee on Carrying Out In-Depth Study and Implementation of the Central Eight-Point Regulations throughout the Party,” and, in accordance with the requirements of the Provincial and Municipal Committees, deploying the university’s study and education work. Li Baiqun, Secretary of the University Party Committee, presided over the meeting and delivered a speech.

The meeting pointed out that the decision of the Party Central Committee to carry out in-depth study and implementation of the Central Eight-Point Regulations throughout the Party from after the 2025 National Two Sessions to July is an important measure to consolidate and deepen the achievements of thematic education and Party discipline study and education, to further advance comprehensive and strict Party governance, and is an important guarantee for promoting the university’s high-quality development. Across the entire university, there must be a full understanding of the significance of this study and education initiative, with in-depth study of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important discourses on strengthening Party conduct and the spirit of the Central Eight-Point Regulations and their implementation rules, with a profound grasp of the decisive significance of the “Two Establishments,” with enhanced “Four Consciousnesses,” strengthened “Four Confidences,” and realization of the “Two Upholds,” with comprehensive implementation of all study and education work arrangements, and with genuine alignment of thought and action with the decisions and deployments of the Party Central Committee.

The meeting emphasized that all levels of Party organizations in the university must closely adhere to the objectives and tasks, and promote the study and education with high standards and in-depth effectiveness. There must be solid study and discussion, with leading cadres taking the lead in learning, with broad participation of Party members in learning, and with systematic study through education and training. There must be a focus on the theme of in-depth study and implementation of the Central Eight-Point Regulations, with accurate grasp of the goals and requirements of the study and education, with persistent focus on the theme, simplicity, and pragmatism, without dividing into batches or stages, and with integrated advancement of study, inspection, and rectification. There must be adherence to a problem-oriented approach, with deepened rectification and implementation. There must be warning education as a mirror, with strengthened discipline awareness. There must be practical training as a platform, with enhanced capabilities and qualities. There must be the opportunity of in-depth study and implementation of the Central Eight-Point Regulations, with vigorous promotion of the Party’s glorious traditions and fine conduct, and with a more high-spirited and upward mental state, and a more pragmatic and efficient work style, to promote the university’s undertakings to new heights.

The meeting required that all levels of Party organizations in the university must adhere to leading by example, strengthen organizational leadership, and meticulously organize and implement. All levels of Party organizations must earnestly shoulder the primary responsibility, refine the university’s implementation plan requirements, highlight the orientation of “practicality,” resolutely oppose formalism, strengthen publicity and guidance, and ensure quality in learning, strength in inspection, and effectiveness in rectification.
