To honor the noble deeds of body and organ donors in “promoting great love and extending life,” and to enhance society’s attention and support for body and organ donation, on March 25, 2025, the “Life · Hope” 2025 Fujian Province Body and Organ Donation Memorial Event was solemnly held at the Quanzhou City Body and Organ Donor Memorial Park. Twenty-two faculty and student representatives from our university participated in the event, paying high tribute to the body and organ donors.

“With the刺桐 as our emblem, sincerity forever engraved; silent mentors, vessels ferrying truth…” During the event, our university’s faculty and student representatives, dressed in white coats, solemnly took an oath, demonstrating the determination of medical students to inherit great love and diligently study medical skills.

The atmosphere at the event was solemn, and participating students expressed that this was a soul-stirring and eternally unforgettable lesson in ideological and political education. This event was not only a deep remembrance of the group of silent mentors, but also transformed into a practical classroom that nourished the hearts of medical students. Taking this event as an opportunity, the University Youth League Committee will continue to organize themed Youth League Day activities on “Life Education,” deepening the outcomes through sharing sessions and practical reports, guiding young students to transform their inspiration into dedication to medical expertise and social service, and cultivating in them a reverence for life and a sense of responsibility to save lives and heal the wounded. 

This event was broadcast live by media outlets such as Southeast Net and Quanzhou TV, attracting public attention. Donors’ families and people from all walks of life highly praised the medical students’ oath, calling for support for the donation cause and passing on the torch of hope. The university will continue to deepen cooperation with Red Cross Societies at all levels, guiding students to firmly establish the concept of the supremacy of life and to develop a profound respect for medicine, focusing on cultivating a new generation of medical professionals who possess both superb medical skills and a strong sense of humanity, so that the spirit of great love will continue to flow in the legacy of those in white coats.
