Quanzhou Medical College Conducts 2025 Counter-Terrorism and Anti-Riot Emergency Drill

To effectively prevent terrorist and violent emergency incidents on campus, further enhance the school's emergency response capabilities for counter-terrorism and anti-riot situations, ensure the personal safety of all faculty and students, and effectively maintain normal teaching order, Quanzhou Medical College collaborated with the Special Police Brigade of the Licheng District Public Security Bureau and Quanzhou Jiying Security Service Co., Ltd. to conduct a practical counter-terrorism and anti-riot emergency drill on the morning of April 15, 2025. The drill took place at the square in front of the college's Information Building starting at 9:00 AM.Attendees included Vice President Lin Jingcang of the college, Deputy General Manager Bai Yuming of Quanzhou Jiying Security Company, representatives from the Licheng District Public Security Bureau's Special Police Brigade, personnel from the college's Security Department, and all security staff members.

The exercise comprised two segments: theoretical training and practical simulation.Theoretical Training: Special police instructors delivered a lecture on counter-terrorism and anti-riot knowledge to all trainees. The session covered common types of terrorist attacks, response strategies, procedures for evacuating students from danger zones, and methods to minimize casualties and damage if evacuation is impossible.Practical Simulation: Special police officers subsequently conducted live demonstrations and explanations. Key aspects included:Simulating realistic scenarios.Training participants in the proficient and correct use of counter-terrorism and anti-riot equipment.Techniques for engaging and subduing assailants.Protocols for campus security personnel to immediately alert authorities and initiate emergency evacuations of students and staff upon encountering a terrorist attack.Detailed instruction on the practical application of shield and baton techniques in real-world situations.Group training for security personnel, focusing on coordinated response tactics during terrorist incidents, enhancing individual skills, and strengthening teamwork capabilities.

This counter-terrorism and anti-riot emergency drill significantly improved the college's security team's ability to respond to sudden incidents. It effectively strengthened the counter-terrorism awareness and comprehensive preparedness of both security personnel and the campus community, providing robust support for building a safe campus environment.
