To implement the Ministry of Education's directives on graduate employment and deepen industry-academia collaboration, Professor Chen Wannan, President and Deputy Party Secretary of Quanzhou Medical College, led a delegation to Shishi Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) on April 17, 2025. This targeted initiative aimed to expand employment opportunities for graduates. The delegation comprised directors of the Admissions & Employment Office, School of Nursing, School of Clinical Medicine, School of Health Sciences, and School of Pharmacy, accompanied by career development officers.

Guided by hospital executives, President Chen's team inspected key facilities including the Shared TCM Dispensary, Expert Workstations, and cultural landmarks such as Gratitude Pavilion, Herbal Garden, and Taiji Discourse Zone–core elements of the hospital's "Ten Cultural Scenes" reflecting its profound TCM heritage.

At the symposium, Professor Li Canxin, President of Shishi Hospital of TCM, outlined the institution's development trajectory, specialized departments, talent requirements, and strategic plans. Emphasizing the hospital's pivotal role in Shishi's TCM ecosystem, he highlighted growing demands for TCM clinicians, nursing professionals, and rehabilitation therapists, proposing sustained talent development partnerships with the college.

President Chen Wannan presented the college's educational distinctives, academic programs, and 2025 graduate cohort data. She affirmed this visit advanced dual objectives: implementing the employment initiative and enhancing collaborative education. "Consistent with our 'industry-aligned, society-serving' ethos," she stated, "we seek deepened cooperation in clinical placements, customized talent pipelines, and joint research for mutual advancement." Subsequent discussions focused on practical collaboration frameworks.

This engagement strengthened institutional bonds, diversified employment channels, and yielded critical industry intelligence to inform curriculum design. The college will intensify healthcare partnerships to ensure precise alignment between talent cultivation and sector needs, driving high-quality graduate employment outcomes.
