On April 29, 2025, the signing ceremony for the Quanzhou Elderly Care Talent  Training Base co-established by the Quanzhou Civil Affairs Bureau and Quanzhou Medical College, along with its inauguration ceremony, was held at the Luojiang Campus of Quanzhou Medical College.

Attendees included Chen Jinsong, Party Secretary and Director of the Quanzhou Civil Affairs Bureau; Li Yushuang, Party Member and Deputy Director; Fang Haitao, Head of Elderly Care Service Division and Aging Affairs Division; as well as Li Boqun, Party Secretary of Quanzhou Medical College; Lin Jingcang, Vice President; and representatives from relevant departments.

The base was established under China's national strategy for "actively responding to population aging" . Under the guidance of the Quanzhou Civil Affairs Bureau, the base led by our college has been a municipal-level platform for cultivating elderly care professionals. Guided by the demands of elderly care services and aimed at promoting industry upgrading, the base will establish“a government-school-enterprise-society collaborative education mechanism”striving to create a comprehensive training system integrating "classroom instruction and practical training, skill certification, scientific research and innovation, and employment services." It will serve as a core platform for the construction of Quanzhou's elderly care service system.

Party Secretary Li Boqun expressed gratitude to the Quanzhou Civil Affairs Bureau for the support. He stated that the college would actively engage in the construction of the base, improve the long-term mechanism of "industry-education integration," and promote the standardization and professionalization of elderly care services. Additionally, the college will deepen collaboration with elderly care institutions and social organizations to build a talent cultivation network that covers urban and rural areas, underpinning Quanzhou's ambition to become a"Maritime Silk Road Hub for Senior Care Services".
