In accordance with the central deployment and the work requirements of the Provincial Party Committee and Municipal Party Committee, Quanzhou Medical College held a study and education reading class for in-depth implementation of the spirit of the Central Eight-point Regulations and a theoretical learning 中心组 (expanded) study meeting on April 15th and 30th. Through various forms such as special tutoring, exchange discussions, watching warning education films, and independent study, participants deeply studied and implemented General Secretary Xi Jinping's important expositions on strengthening the Party's style construction, as well as the spirit of the Central Eight-point Regulations and their implementation rules.

Li Boqun, Secretary of the School Party Committee, presided over the reading class and delivered a speech, emphasizing that the achievements of study and education should be transformed into the execution force of "immediate action," the spirit of educators into the action force of "sincere dedication to the world," and fine work styles into the combat effectiveness of "educational power." It is necessary to promote the high-quality development of the school with the practical measures of "going to the grassroots in four aspects" and ensure the effective implementation of all 上级 decision-making deployments with excellent achievements.

Improving investigation and research, listed as the first item of the Central Eight-point Regulations, plays a fundamental and guiding role. On April 15th, the reading class took Following the Footsteps of General Secretary Xi Jinping in Quanzhou and Understanding the Way of Investigation and Research as the core learning content of the first class, inviting Xie Zhenzhen, an associate professor from the Party School of Quanzhou Municipal Committee, to conduct special tutoring at the school.

On April 30th, under the guidance of Wang Jiangbo, an associate professor from the Party School of Quanzhou Municipal Committee, all participants of the reading class visited the Quanzhou Party Spirit, Style, and Discipline Education Hall and watched warning education films. In the special tutoring on Studying and Implementing the Spirit of the Central Eight-point Regulations Well, Associate Professor Wang Jiangbo systematically interpreted the three questions of "why to grasp, what to grasp, and how to grasp" in General Secretary Xi Jinping's important expositions on strengthening the Party's style construction, introduced in detail the practice and effectiveness of implementing the Central Eight-point Regulations since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, and provided specific guidance on how to "solidly carry out study and education and continuously promote the construction of the Party's work style in depth."

In the exchange discussion, Secretary Li Boqun pointed out that since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at its core has taken the formulation and implementation of the Central Eight-point Regulations as a key starting point and a measure to establish credibility, promoting a new look in the Party conduct and government style, and continuous improvement in social conduct and folk customs. This year, the 全党 study and education on in-depth implementation of the spirit of the Central Eight-point Regulations once again declares to the whole Party the clear attitude that style construction is always on the road and releases a strong signal for renewed efforts in style construction. We should enhance political stance, learn the political consciousness of aligning with the central authorities; adhere to problem orientation, learn the strong drive for entrepreneurship; and promote practical work, learn the wisdom to break through in reform and development.

Secretary Li Boqun emphasized the need to adhere to and strengthen the overall leadership of the Party over school work, understand the methodology for breaking through from the Party's innovative theories in the new era, deepen and expand the action of "deep study for excellence, boldness for priority, and practical work for effectiveness," focus on prominent problems in teaching, scientific research, management capabilities, and grassroots Party building, identify entry points and breakthroughs, take the "3+1" special action as a starting point to make up for shortcomings and strengthen weak links, further deepen connotation construction, and truly transform learning achievements into the ability to promote the high-quality development of the school. It is necessary to concentrate efforts on the tough battle of establishing the school as an undergraduate institution. All departments and units should closely cooperate and coordinate to form a joint force, emancipate the mind, update concepts, actively explore new ideas, methods, and measures, combine top-level design with grassroots exploration, and fully mobilize the enthusiasm, initiative, and creativity of the majority of faculty and staff.
