On the occasion of the 114th May 12 International Nurses Day, our university partnered with Quanzhou Nursing Association to launch a series of vibrant celebratory activities. These events aimed to promote the humanitarian spirit of healing the wounded and rescuing the dying, carry forward the noble tradition of nursing, discuss the development of nursing profession, and pay tribute to our Angels in White.

May 12 International Nurses Day Celebration of Quanzhouin 2025 with the theme Our Nurses Our Future was held at Huishi Cultural and Sports Centerof our college, with Party Secretary Li Boqun in attendance. During the event, student representatives from our Nursing School delivered a heartfelt rendition of The Song of Chinese Nurses, paying musical tribute to caregivers' selfless dedication. Their youthful voices showcased both the mien and sense of responsibility embodied by the new generation of nursing students.

The Nursing School held the Cap-Pinning Ceremonyof May 12 International Nurses Day of 2025 under the theme White-Coated Dreams Guided by Original Aspiration. On this special day, 302 nursing students who are filled with passion and dedication for their professionwill depart for clinical placements across various healthcare institutions. This marked their crucial first step in committing to medical service and safeguarding public health, embarking on a new chapter to honor the Nightingale Pledge.

Quanzhou Nursing Association and our college have long shared the common mission of cultivating high-quality healthcare professionals, maintaining comprehensive and in-depth collaboration across talent development, academic exchange, and technological innovation. Our enduring partnership has injected vital momentum into advancing nursing services and elevating regional healthcare standards in Quanzhou. In honor of Nurses Day, the Association donatedour college a wooden screen carved with the school motto "Precision and Sincerity Benefiting the Worldwhich presented not only a testament to our collaboration but also a symbolic wish for the future of nursing. The unveiling ceremony took place on the morning of May 12 at our Nan'an Campus, attended by: Wu Biyu, President of Quanzhou Nursing Association, Li Hui, Vice President of the Association, Li Boqun, Party Secretary of ourcollege and Chen Wannan, our college President. Representatives from the Associatio n's specialized committees and departments of our college witnessed this milestone event, commemorating our shared commitment to excellence in healthcare education.

Nursing education of our college with its long-standing heritage and profound tradition, has consistently prioritized serving local healthcare needs as a core mission. In alignment with China's national education reform initiatives for the new era, we have vigorously promoted industry-education collaborative innovation, stablishing a comprehensive talent development system that has yielded remarkable outcomes in nursing education.

Recent achievements include:one Provincial-Level First Prize for Teaching Excellence, 3 Provincial-Level Second Prizes for our collaborative nursing talent development initiatives with local partners. For decades, we have been a steady pipeline of professional nursing talent for Quanzhou's healthcare sector. Notably, 62.8% of supervisory nursing positions including deputy head nurses and above across Quanzhou's medical institutions are held by our alumni—a testament to our graduates becoming the backbone of regional healthcare.

In the future, we will further deepen cooperation with Quanzhou Nursing Association, pooling more resources for collaborative development to cultivate more high-quality nursing professionals, advance local healthcare initiatives, and contribute even greater to the region's economic growth.
