On June 6, the college held a meeting to interpret the 2025 Publicity, Ideological and Cultural Work Evaluation Plan and provide training on news reporting standards. The training focused on ideological construction and news promotion norms in the era of integrated media, aiming to boost the high-quality development of the college's publicity, ideological and cultural work. Attendants included Wang Cuiling, Deputy Secretaryof the College Party Committee, heads of secondary departments, Secretariesof the General Party branch Committee of departments, website managers, information officers, and all counselors.

At the training session, the Publicity Department interpreted the "3+1 Special Action Publicity Evaluation Sub-plan" in terms of evaluation indicators, task allocation, and outcome-orientation. The plan promotes innovation through evaluation and highlights achievements, requiring units to refine measures against standards and deeply integrate publicity work with the fundamental task of cultivating virtue and talents.

Chen Xinyi, Deputy Head of the Political News Department of Quanzhou Evening News and senior editor, delivered a lecture titled "How to Make Political News Reporting 'Colorful and Error-Free'." With 26 years of editing and reporting experience, Chen analyzed political news topics, standard expression, and error-prevention tips through cases. He stressed that journalists must maintain political sensitivity to hold the line on public opinion and enhance dissemination efficiency with professional skills. The content-rich, case-vivid lecture provided practical guidance for the university's news promotion work.

Wang Cuiling, Deputy Secretary of the College Party Committee, concluded the meeting. She noted that publicity, ideological and cultural work is a mission-oriented project. She called on units to enhance political awareness, take up primary responsibility, and focus on three aspects: strengthening theoretical understanding, holding the ideological front, and boosting news guidance.

The college will use this training as an opportunity to promote standardization through evaluation and enhance capabilities through training.
